Schedule
As well as the on hill activity, we have a number of events scheduled in conjunction with various brands to keep you entertained throughout the week.
Saturday 3rd May - Arrival day.
Guests will be arriving from early morning. If you’re lucky enough to get there in time you can go on the hill - you’ll have to buy a lift ticket, because the tickets you booked through the tourist office start on Sunday. The test rooms will be open from 12-6pm for brands to set up, then we’ll be back down to Feichten for dinner. There will be a welcome meeting at 9pm where we’ll run through the week in finer detail
Sunday 4th May - Testing starts
Fingers crossed for a powder day! Testing kicks off at 9am and will run through the day. Vans, Westbeach and Signal will be laying on brunch for everyone, with the Vans Waffle Stand, Westbeach Canadian Bacon sandwiches and Signal Coffee. Then it’s back up the hill to try and work some of that off again. Sunday evening is the White Lines party, which is sure to go off!
Monday 5th May - Testing continues
The second day of the test, time perhaps to check out the park after the first day of easing yourself back into things. The unholy trinity of Vans, Westbeach and Signal will once again provide a brunch to help you get over your hangovers. This evening’s entertainment come courtesy of Westbeach and the infamous Westbeach Hog Roast. Think beers, roast pork and music and you’re bang on the button! One of the highlights of the week
Tuesday 6th May - last day for the three day package
Almost as soon as it’s started, it’s over for the people who are on the three day trip. There’s time to take in some early riding , followed by brunch thanks to Vans, Westbeach and Signal once more. You should be able to get some early afternoon shredding in before you have to leave to make your connections back to the airport. For the lucky majority who are staying on, Tuesday evening is the Analog party. Last year’s theme was in a Mexican style, who knows what they’ll come up with this year
Wednesday 7th May - Hangover day
The Analog party will have taken it’s toll - trust me on this one. Testing restarts at 9am and will go on throughout the day - by this point we’ll be a long way through the test process. We’ll call an early halt to testing today, probably at 2pm, in order to get all the teams organised for the annual Football tournament. For the boys, it’s the off-hill highlight of the week, for the girls it’s several hours of boredom interspersed with occasional glimpses of James Stentiford in shorts… Everybody, it seems, is happy…
Thursday 8th May - Aching legs day
Testing should be getting close to wrapping up, with the test team and Snowboard Test staff scuttling around making sure that everything has been tested properly. Testing will shut up shop at 4pm. No evening entertainment is planned at the moment - a rest day would be good - although, last year Tim Warwood held an impromptu ‘pub snack russian roulette’ in the Boedele hotel. The rules were too complicated to go into details here, but let’s just say it cost me a round of 18 beers and leave it at that…
Friday 9th May - Last day of the test.
Traditionally the quietest day of the week. Testing starts at 9am, but most brands should be complete by this point, so maybe it should be a day to shred around and enjoy yourself. Those who have finished their work tend to pack up early to make the journey back home - however, the test room will be open until 4pm. And that, will be that!
